Mission Preservation: Classroom Treasures

We are pleased to offer free in-school programs for grades 4 – 6 in the local DC Metro area, which includes DC, Fairfax County, Arlington County, Alexandria, Prince Georges County, and Montgomery County.

In this 70-minute program, Museum Teachers will conduct object-based, standards-related programming that will focus on learning from primary resources and preserving family oral histories and objects.

Students who participate in this program will strengthen their historical thinking skills as they explore original historical artifacts and other records of the past. This program helps students understand the historical importance of material culture and gives students the tools they need to preserve their own history for generations to come.
